Project
Hardwood Orangery with clerestory This traditional style orangery was part of a mamouth rebuild project being undertaken by our clients.
As the host building comprised of three floors and a basement, we fitted a clerestory window above the main frames to provide additional height. - The dwarf walls are constructed of natural stone quarried locally and dressed with a pitch face. The dressed quoins and cills are from the same quarry and have been lightly tooled to finish.
-
-
The frames compised of a Victorian bar style configuration with a row of clerestory windows above and a deep frieze fascia
-
-
The glazed lantern mirrors the shape of the base below and the flat roof area provides a level internal soffit into which downlighters are to be installed.
-
-
The roof glazing was supplied in solar control glass to the external combined with a Low Emmissive glass internally, both pieces being toughened safety glass.
-
-
The roof covering to the flat roof area was formed with Code 5 sheet lead laid to falls and over wood core rolls, all to the Lead Sheet Association recommendations.
